It is a disease that affects a limited number of population (only 4% of men and 2% of women), but the chances of developing the disease gets progressively worse as one grows up and leaves untreated the symptoms can be fatal. Many of the who suffer from sleep apnea do not even know they have this disease. This report will educate the reader about the signs and symptoms of sleep apnea such as snoring and feeling constant drowsiness. It also will look at what to expect when they are tested for apnea, and treatment methods and less traditional fashion. It then examines long-term effects, not to treat sleep apnea, which could include heart failure. When the reader has finished this report, have an understanding complete sleep apnea and how it affects our lives.
