How can I concentrate, without deprivation of sleep or eating disorders?

I am taking the SAT, and after some time practice tests, I learned that I am very detail oriented. I increase the playback speed, which is detrimental to my score on the "What sentence is grammatically correct? I can only give focus thinking crazy and I mean fucking crazy is the amphetamine [Dexedrine, etc], but these things are very destructive.

insomnia or trouble sleeping?

My father suffers from insomnia, but has some symptoms I do not know. My dad is falling asleep at 11 pm and wakes at 2 hours and can not sleep. then it will sleep during the day and sleep at random times. the last 2 or 3 months twice a year. while it lasts, its personality changes – he gets nervous, defensive, critical and angry. start spending money on cheap junk, useless. blood pressure rises early in the morning (approx. 4 hours) and then falls. snores horribly and does not seem able to breathe at times. refuses to take sleeping pills.
