When habits become disorders?
Well, all my life I have liked things a certain way. For example, if I have a bag of M & M, L like to eat what others have an equal number of each color, then eat if the numbers are equal. I do not know how annoying it would have disrupted this until I had children which were stolen My M & M's, without discrimination! I also have behaviors that are as obsessive-compulsive disorder, for example (and I know it's serious) collection crusts, which have worsened over the past two years, but I would not say they are debilitating. I have trouble finding something I enjoy doing and I can not force me to do something just for a week or a month – some more productive than others (what socks to my shop girls compared to answer questions on Yahoo Answers, o) and sometimes I do, it's hard to calm down and sleep. At what point it becomes a disorder and I have to see my doctor about this?
It becomes a disorder when it interferes with their daily lives. This may be subjective, so if you're not sure you could ask your friends and family if they feel their habits interfere with their daily lives.
