Need help with my insomnia, and do not want to take prescription sleeping pills! Ideas?
I struggle to sleep. Then once I do, I get up early and can not sleep. Help please! Warm milk is gross … What other action! Thank you very much!
Warm milk. Sure – simply warm milk 2 cups hot milk in the microwave for about 40 seconds (only a lukewarm, not hot). If you want to get really creative, you can add a dash of 'Pumpkin Spice '(you can find all this in the supermarket) and a teaspoon of honey. You do not have pumpkin spice? Use a dash of cinnamon and a tiny pinch of nutmeg. Also, try to sleep in total darkness … Plus: Normally, the production of melatonin by the pineal gland is inhibited by light and permitted by darkness. By this reason, melatonin has been called "the hormone of darkness". The secretion of melatonin peaks in the middle of the night, and fell gradually during the second middle of the night. Until recent history, men in temperate climates, were exposed to eighteen hours of darkness in winter. In this modern world, artificial lighting generally reduces the eight hours or less per day throughout the year. Even low light levels inhibit melatonin production to some extent, but excessive lighting of you can create a significant reduction in melatonin production.
